Art366: Cyberfeminism + New Media Practices is an advanced new media studio/theory course taught by Krista Hoefle, Department of Art at Saint Mary's College. Using contemporary cybertheory and cyberfeminist fiction as a foundation, students will be exploring the tools and techniques of digital media through the lens of cyberfeminism. In the creation of digital artworks we will be exploring the key issues of cyberfeminism, including (but not limited to) cyborg identity/feminism, social networks, and database activism. Additionally, students will be collaboratively working on a wiki dedicated to their ongoing research associated with the themes investigated within the class.
